2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, where the major United Nations conventions on fighting climate change and protecting biodiversity were born. Organized in conjunction with numerous civil society actors, this summit prefigured the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, a true universal roadmap towards a sustainable future.
The Sustainable Development Meetings, organized by the Open Diplomacy Institute and of which the Energy Observer Foundation is a civic partner, celebrate the anniversary of the SDGs' adoption by France. This democratic meeting, dedicated to the transition, is a unique opportunity to question the translation of the SDGs at the national and local levels, their progress, but also the road ahead.
Placed under the high patronage of Ms. Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the National Assembly, present in this chamber for the first day of the meetings on September 16, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, Ministers Christophe Béchu and Stanislas Guérini, Secretaries of State Bérangère Couillard and Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, and many experts, the RDDs will then take place throughout France to allow everyone to take hold of these subjects of social justice, climate transition, carbon neutrality...
Victorien Erussard, President and captain of Energy Observer, will speak on September 16 at the French National Assembly, on SDG 7 "Ensure access for all to reliable, sustainable and modern energy services at an affordable cost".
Après une introduction par la directrice de recherche Valérie Sartre (Insa Lyon), Victorien Erussard partagera son expertise sur les enjeux et perspectives de la transition énergétique, dans un contexte géopolitique et économique complexe.
